How soon can you schedule a repair or installation?

Andre and the crew run appointments Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm. Simple crack or chip repairs often get booked within the week. Full fabrication and installation jobs need a template visit first, then typically a short lead time to cut the stone.

Do you handle emergency repairs, like a cracked sink cutout or broken cooktop rough-in?

Yes, within the same-day or next-day window when scheduling allows. A cracked seam near a sink or an undersized cooktop rough-in can turn into a bigger problem fast, so call and explain the situation. Gunny Stone prioritizes jobs that affect daily kitchen use.

What payment methods do you accept?

Gunny Stone accepts cash, check, and standard card payment for both repair and fabrication work.

Can you really make a crack repair invisible?

On granite and most quartz, color-matched epoxy fill and careful polishing can make a crack repair very hard to spot once cured, especially on stone with heavier veining or pattern to work with. Solid-color quartz and light marble show repairs a bit more. Andre will tell you honestly what result to expect before starting.

Do I need to replace my whole countertop, or can it be repaired?

Most cracks, chips, and separated seams can be repaired without replacing the slab, which saves money and downtime in the kitchen. Replacement makes sense if the stone has multiple structural cracks, heavy pitting, or you're changing layouts during a remodel. A quick in-person look tells you which route makes sense.

How long does a countertop installation take from template to finish?

Templating and rough-in measurements happen first, then the slab is fabricated off-site (cut, edged, and any cutouts for sinks or cooktops made) before install day. Simple installs finish in a single day once the stone is ready. Kitchen remodels with backsplash and multiple cutouts take a bit longer to sequence.

Do you seal granite and marble countertops?

Yes. Sealing protects porous stone like granite and especially marble from staining and etching, and it's worth doing on a regular schedule depending on how the stone is used. Gunny Stone can seal as a standalone service or fold it into any repair or fabrication job.
